Upon arrival, our horses are given time to settle, decompress, and integrate into their new environment. This adjustment period typically takes a couple of weeks, during which we observe them both on the ground and under saddle. Only once they are relaxed and comfortable do we begin our full evaluation process, allowing the true horse to come through.
As we learn more about this horse’s personality, strengths, and preferred riding style, this description will be updated with detailed and accurate information to help match them with the right home.

Lineage:
Señor de Lara is a 2019 bay PRE gelding bred from a lineage that reflects both exceptional quality and genuine rarity within the modern Iberian market.
He is sired by Catuhueso JP (2005), a grey stallion whose bloodlines are steeped in classical PRE influence. Catuhueso JP is by Baratero XVI (1983), a son of the highly respected Baratero XI (1970) — a name synonymous with strength, presence and enduring genetic influence. On the dam side of his sire line sits Feria XXII (1996), bringing in further depth through Pamela II and the notable Tecnicolor and Atrevida XXIV, reinforcing consistency of type and mental balance.
Señor de Lara is out of Señorita de Lara (2008), herself carrying a pedigree rich in proven, traditional bloodlines. Her sire, Sonrisa X (2000), descends from Malabarista II, with close ties to Educado and Malabarista, lines well regarded for their rideability, soundness and longevity. The maternal line continues through Sonrisa III, tracing back to Poseído IV and Manola II, adding further depth and heritage.
Notable relations within his pedigree include repeated appearances of historically influential PRE sires such as Baratero XI, Tecnicolor, Educado, and Malabarista, names increasingly difficult to find concentrated within a single pedigree. This combination reflects generations of selective breeding focused on functional conformation, trainable temperament and classical Iberian character, rather than modern trend-driven breeding.
